Merry Christmas to all. Hope to see you next summer at the reunion.

Hi everyone and thank you for the concerns people have offered regarding the October firestorm here in Santa Rosa. I was lecturing at the combined nursing university in Lisbon Pt when our cat sitter texted me that she had to evacuate. We flew back as soon as possible but the fires were still burning and we were evacuated for 25 days, living in hotels with our cat. Our car was incinerated completely, but we really didn't care. (it was a piece of crap car anyway.) Luckily even tho a neighboring building burned, the fire stopped within 20 feet of our deck and all of our things were spared. We are still decontaminating and our garage is still to be unpacked. But we are the lucky ones for sure.
Please be sure to have your shoes and flashlight and glasses by your bedstead and have your Go Bag ready! People had only 13 minutes to evacuate in the 60-80 MPH Diablo winds and firestorm. Blizzards, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, will occur. We must all be prepared.
In gratitude,
Ruth Bernhoft Hansten

Sorry for the delay in this going out.. I didn't see there was a pending email until I had a notice of a post by Jule Selbo, which will follow this update. Ruth when you say you "are the lucky ones" when the firestorm stopped 20 feet from your deck, I now declare you the Master Of Understatement!

Hey everyone,
Just added the group photos from the reunion. Webb took many photos. Tried to select the best one from each group. If you happen to have your eyes shut perhaps I can photo shop them in from another photo. Nels

Thank you to everyone who attended the 45th Reunion of the Class of 1970! We had a great time and it was so fun to see classmates and friends!

Several photos were taken of different groups by Webb White. A link to these photos will be sent to everyone who is registered with this website. You will be able to download and print photos at your convenience. Watch for this link in the near future.

Plans are already underway for 2020 and the 50th Reunion. It may be our last one, so let's try to get as many of our classmates as possible to attend. If you can help to find our missing classmates, please encourage them to go to and get registered. Then, we can be in touch with them.

We are reviewing the preferences of those who attended and will set a reunion date within the near future. Please let us know if you have any preference for when we meet.

Again, thanks for coming to the reunion and thanks to everyone who worked on it and helped to make it such a fun time!

Your Committee
